Chaos Cooking is a social community centered on cooking and conversations, where friends and soon-to-be friends cook and talk together while enjoying tasty dishes.

Everyone brings the ingredients for one dish and then cooks together in one space. All recipes must be finished and space returned to its original condition by the end of the event, while everyone is socialising, enjoying drinks and eating tasty dishes. Some meetups have a particular foodie theme, or not, just as you feel...

What to bring:
Bring the ingredients necessary for a bunch of people to try a little bit of your chosen dish, a bottle of something to share, any extra knives, pans, big bowls or chopping boards and tupperware to take extra food home.

Guidelines:
Everyone MUST prepare something and bring a bottle/drink of choice
Everyone must pitch in to help restore the space to its original condition.
Oh, and try not to lose any fingers...

-- Feel free to share with your friends and people you trust.

Cambridge Chaos Cooking - hosted by Laurie

Laurie's Place

Hi everyone, You are warmly invited to the June Chaos Cooking hosted by Laurie. We will have a waiting list on this event as usual when it fills up. Do sign up to that if the event is full and you'll be emailed if space becomes available. Laurie has a really nice garden so if the weather forecast is good then more people will be able to come (and people on the waiting list will obviously get priority). You must RSVP to the event here on meetup.com, and the full address will be sent out two days before the event to everyone who has RSVP'd yes. How Chaos Cooking works: Everyone brings the ingredients to make one dish - starter, main or dessert. It only needs to be big enough for everyone to try a mouthful and we all cook together in one space. All recipes must be finished and space returned to its original condition by the end of the event. Everyone MUST prepare something on the night and MUST bring a bottle/drink of choice. Everyone must also pitch in to help restore the space to its original condition. 1) When you arrive, check in, say hi and pour yourself a glass 2) Start making your dish. We recommend making something that, if it needs cooking, takes 15-20 minutes at the grill/oven/hob. 3) Help other folks with theirs 4) Try some dishes, share your dish, meet some great new people 5) Wrap up some food to take home 6) Join in the cleanup from around 9.30pm What to bring: Bring the ingredients necessary for your chosen dish, a drink to share with others, knives, pans, big bowls or chopping boards and Tupperware to take extra food home. You are welcome to use some of our kitchen gadgets/dishes/bowls/pans but naturally, there aren't enough to make everyone's dishes, so please do bring yours too! What is supplied: Crockery, cutlery, glasses, tinfoil, cling film and bits to do the clean-up. There are microwave, oven/grill and hob, so the emphasis on the chaos! Whilst eyeing up your slot at the grill; meet, greet, chop, slice and enjoy everyone's company. In addition, Laurie has a barbecue which can be used if the weather is good. Finding out the meetup location: RSVP to the event here by 5 pm on the 20th of June to receive an email a couple of days before with the full address. You will see the partial address already on the event page so you have a good idea where you're going... How to get to the event: Car sharing or cycling is highly encouraged. There is some off-street parking in front of Laurie's house for cars and ample parking spaces for bikes. Any queries please feel free to pop a question on the message wall below or message me directly... See you there! Joe
