Hey there women devs...come enjoy the company of other female software engineers just like you!
This is a very informal group aimed at women programmers in Charleston. Come have a drink or a bite to eat as we swap code ideas and recent lessons learned in the adventures of progressive software development.
CHANGE OF VENUE -- In order to have control over the environment to keep it as safe as possible, I've decided to move all the happy hours to my backyard for the next couple of months. We can sit safely 6 feet apart in the backyard and then if it does rain we can put on our masks and sit under the covered deck. Plus if it's chilly out I'll start a bonfire!
I'll provide beer, wine, La Croix and snacks. You are also welcome to bring your own items if you like.
Feel free to either ring the doorbell or go to the right of the house where you can walk through a gate to the backyard.
I'll privately write all persons who RSVPed to share my home address.
In case you are new, we are a very casual group of female software engineers that would rarely get to talk code with friends in our normal out-of-work settings. We've been doing this monthly happy hour for about 2 years now and it's been wonderful creating a sisterhood of female software engineers to lean on and just enjoy one another's company. I'm always seated next to the green sign that matches the group logo, so come introduce yourself as being new when you arrive. See you soon!
***COVID UPDATE: We will be spacing out the chairs, utilizing a hepa air filter in the conference room, and we request that people wear masks while indoors. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
This event is free and open to all genders.

The purpose of the new Women Devs technical meetups are to share beginner knowledge about some of the topics that have been coming up during the Women Dev happy hours. They are NOT meant to be comprehensive or formal lessons; rather peer introductions to concepts.
