Women in technology leadership – a growth story
Details
Female technology leaders face unique challenges. We’re often outnumbered by our male counterparts and can face an uphill journey to prove ourselves. But we bring strengths to the tech workplace as well, including communication and critical-thinking skills, diverse life perspectives, and distinctive ways of solving traditional technology challenges. This session focuses on the successes and difficulties female technology leaders face. We'll discuss the impact of role-based and gender-based stereotypes in the workplace and provide practical ideas for leadership development. Whether you're a woman in technology, an organizational leader/mentor, or an ally that wants to support the growth of gender diversity in the tech space, you'll learn about the importance of a strong personal brand, gain insight on overcoming obstacles, and see how you can serve as an ally for female technologists.
