Learn to Build Cool IoT Products and Services with Bluetooth Beacon!

Details

Raymond Fosdick will talk about Bluetooth beacon!

Bluetooth beacons are low-powered, low-cost transmitters that can notify nearby devices of their presence. The technology enables a smart phone or other device to perform actions when in close proximity to the beacon.

There are plenty of devices capable of being a Bluetooth beacon that IoT pros or tinkerers can use such as RFduino or the new Simblee.

The availability of Bluetooth on everyone’s phones plus the inexpensive beacon devices are opening up new markets at all ends of the spectrum.

Raymond Fosdick is a member of the Charlotte IoT group and is an entrepreneurial/developer in Fort Mill coding in a bunch of technology including C/C++, Objective C, Visual Basic .NET, Java, ASP/VBScript.
