What we're about

http://www.carolinaadventureguides.com .

There is nothing quite like the outdoors!!!! This meetup is designed for people in the Charlotte area who want to enjoy the outdoors. "Our goal is to help people find the right motivation, activity and group of people to enjoy the outdoors."

The real hope is that this meetup can act as a proxy for people to find others to join up with (buddy system). We are bringing forth a lot of activities and outings that have been popular before and for one reason or another are not out there for all to enjoy. We would like to encourage all levels of activities... all fun, friendly and safe. Membership is $10 a year! This is to keep with some fees and permits that we will have to obtain for some of our adventures.

Please feel to post your event/activity suggestions!! This is your Meetup Group so make it work for you! We want to encourage members to post their own activities. What are the rules?

-Leave no trace guidelines should apply -Follow all rules and regulations stated by the proper departments or organizations in the wilderness area where each activity takes place.

-Have fun but respect the interests and abilities of others. The event hosts are a group of volunteers who give much of their time to plan and organize events, so due respect is required. This is a group for anyone interested in hiking, kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing, social / etc. All skills levels are welcome. All these activities bring on an inherited risk... SAFETY IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. BE PREPARED!

Please contact us to pay your $10.00 annual membership dues The money will be used to cover fees and permits. At times we must pay a deposit to secure our venues, etc. All money at end of year not used will be contributed back to our annual holiday party. Dues also cover the cost of this Meetup Group into the future and expenses incurred by The Organizer, Co-Organizers, Event Organizers and Event Hosts for supplies and miscellaneous items, etc
