What could be better than hiking a homeless hound? Not only will you get exercise but you will also be a part of reducing euthanasia rates. Socialization and exercise can reduce kennel related stress and anxiety and improve a shelter dog’s behavior, thus extending their lives!
The humans of Outdoor Club South - Charlotte invite you to Tails of the Trail® (http://www.tailsofthetrail.com) when we hike with shelter dogs for a couple of hours of exercise and companionship. We're partnering with Humane Society of York County (http://humanesocietyofyorkcounty.org/), Fort Mill, SC and we'll hike with our furry kids along the scenic Catawba River.

The pups will be transported to the trail by the Sheba's Doggy Day Camp (http://www.shebasdoggydaycamp.com/) bus for a 3 mile, out-and-back hike. The trail is wide-paved with a few rolling hills but overall is fairly easy. We will also have the dog-approved pupsicles for them to enjoy at the end of the hike!
