UX Book Club - Prototyping

  • Dec 8, 2010 · 7:00 PM
  • Macquarium Charlotte

NOTE: If you need to reach the venue (the Macquarium Charlotte office/loft) please call[masked]-2146.
Our next UX Book Club meeting will be about Prototyping by Todd Zaki Warfel.
The Book: If you order from Rosenfeld Media, you can use the
discount code UXBOOKCHAR good for 30% off all products (digital and paperback) purchased through our site until December 15th (Thanks Rosenfeld Media!)
http://www.rosenfeldm... Todd, the author, will be visiting us via Skype!
Location: We will be meeting at Macquarium's office/loft in NoDa. It's a bit tricky to find in the dark, so be sure to look at the map we posted explaining how you walk all the way back at Highland Mill lofts. (It's about 80% residential 20% commercial space.)
Food: You may want to eat dinner beforehand, but we do plan to have some yummy hors d'oeuvres and stuff to drink. Note we're starting this book club meeting at
7PM, a little earlier than last time.
Related Information:
What's a UX Book Club? Simple: just an informal group that uses books related to user-experience design as an excuse to get together now and then to learn, discuss and socialize.
Do I need to have read the whole book? Nope. We're all very busy people and sometimes don't have time to finish the book. Just come with an interest in the book and its topic, and a willingness to learn new stuff.
Are there other UX Book Clubs? Yes! For more information on UX Book Clubs check out the original wiki site: Or follow the UX Book Club twitter feed:
**Who is running this particular club? The Charlotte UX Book Club is a side project of Macquarium, a UX consultancy headquartered in Atlanta, with a growing outpost in Charlotte. It's a separate but complementary effort to the UX Meetup in Charlotte.

Great topic. Speaking of tools last night, a great Charlotte based startup is for prototyping and sharing online. Also I have found this keynote toolkit ( to be a great resource.
