What we're about

The Charlotte Dads Group is a diverse community of fathers who take an active role in our children’s lives. We've created an online MeetUp group to bring fathers together in person. We'll meet with our kids, at parks, playgrounds, museums, nature centers, and parent-and-me classes across Charlotte. There are not enough resources, social groups, or services for dads. This is a destination for active dads! A diverse group with dads of all stripes: Stay At Home Dads, Dads with flexible schedules, work from home dads, freelance dads, working dads, and involved fathers in and around Charlotte to socialize and interact with other guys who enjoy spending quality time with their children.

The Charlotte Dads Group is part of the City Dads Group, a dynamic and diverse community of fathers dedicated to being active in their children’s lives and, by example, redefining what it means to be a dad in the 21st century. We have groups centered around major metropolitan areas throughout the United States. Find them all here at www.citydadsgroup.com.

This group is strictly for Dads, we understand sometimes wives will join for their significant others but we encourage them to join on their own accord. We want this group to be a comfortable place for Dads to learn and talk about anything dad related.

Harrisburg Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

191 Sims Pkwy

The annual Christmas Tree Lighting event is coming back to Harrisburg! This is a great event for the entire family, featuring Food Trucks, horse and carriage rides, local vendors and performances, and more!

The event goes from 6-8:30 Pm, so feel free to stay as long as you'd like. Remember to wear warm clothes to fight off the (hopefully) chilly December weather.

We'll meet at the edge of the parking lot at 6 Pm. If you can't make it by then, just use the Meetup App to send us a direct message!

Looking forward to seeing everyone then!

December Dads Night Out: Bowling @ Queen Park Social

Queen Park Social

After the craziness and uncertainty of 2020, this past year has seen our group bounce back better than ever! We've had a string of amazingly successful Dads Night Out events, as well as participating in National Dads Day Out. The events have been filled with good times and better people, and it wouldn't be possible without all of our wonderful members.

We wanted to end 2021 on a high note, with something exciting and new. Please join us on Wednesday, December 15th at Queen Park Social for food, drinks, and bowling! If you've never been, QPS is a great place filled with tons of fun activities; if you have been, then you already know what we're talking about!

We'll meet at 6:30 Pm and plan to reserve a lane for 7 Pm. Bowling is limited to 8 people per lane, so please RSVP as soon as you're able to; if we need to get another lane we will!

Looking forward to seeing everyone at our final event of the year, and we can't wait to see what 2022 brings to our group!
