Come join us for one of our group runs, because it's a lot easier to run when running with others! We have runners of all levels and experience, from ultra-marathoners to those just starting out and trying to make it past those first couple of miles...we've all been there!

With over 13 weekly runs we strive to have a time and place that works with your schedule and training level. Be sure to bring your sense of adventure and humor too, because although we do like to run a lot, we also like to make running fun! Check out our photos (https://www.meetup.com/CharlotteRunners/phot... (https://www.meetup.com/CharlotteRunners/photos/)) to see some of our crazy theme/costume runs and social activities that we are (in)famous for!

We usually meet at a nearby place for eats and drinks (or for coffee and breakfast on Saturdays) after each run! We also have lots of varied social outings and crazy theme runs just for the fun of it! Check out our schedule for locations and RSVP for a run or social gathering...we look forward to meeting you!

Be sure to RSVP so we know you are attending! You can also find us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/CharlotteRunners/

Note to beginners: While we do not have a specific "beginners" group, we were all beginners at one time or another! So this is why it's important to get started, whether you are 22 or 72. All paces are welcomed and we encourage you to come run with us! The organizers of the runs have directions available so you will not get lost, and we wait for everyone at the end so no one gets left behind. So come on out to a run, meet your fellow runners, run your pace that you are the most comfortable with, and then join us for an after-run social activity (you will notice most of our runs include this). : )

Now more about our run...The Legend is back...on Thursday Nights… at the The Legion Brewery.

Yes, the legendary Plaza-Midwood running course we all know and love takes place now at "The Legiondary Run" on Thursday nights at Legion Brewing on Commonwealth Avenue!

Come run the 4 + mile run legendary route made infamous by countless Charlotte Runners for over a decade – experience that fast first mile downhill… the endless Mecklenburg Ave. breaking point.... and nobody ever forgets Nassau Hill... on the climb to "The Top!"

We met at 6:30pm in front of the brewery where directions are provided, and after the run we gather at The Legion Brewery for fun times and great local craft beer by the brewery! Newcomers and penguins always welcomed!

*Don't let the RSVP list fool you, our runs average between 40-70 people depending on time of year...but runners are lame about RSVP'ing, lol. But please RSVP so we know to look for you! Also we run rain or shine.

Location: The Legion Brewery, 1906 Commonwealth Ave, Charlotte N.C in NoDa, smack across the street from The Diamond.

Parking: Different areas, including beside/behind The Legion Brewery, on Commonwealth, neighboring streets, and various parking lots in the block area and across Pecan (note: some may require a fee).

Gather Point: Meet in front of The Legion Brewing. (Wear your mask until the run starts.)

The Course: The original Plaza-Midwood route, turn-by-turn-directions for the “Legendary Legion Run” is on Map My Run: http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/936181353
