9.3 miles, 1300 feet elevation
This will be a shuttle hike through the beautiful James River Face Wilderness on the Appalachian Trail starting from Petites Gap and traveling North to the James River and the famous James River Foot Bridge. The hike starts with a climb to Highcock Knob and then is a gentle downhill for most of the rest of the hike. This is an area where wildflowers are plentiful and we will hope to see some! Meet at 9 am at Rockfish Gap, King's Popcorn Stand. This hike is limited to 10 people (in 2 groups) because it is in a Wilderness Area.
