We are delighted to invite you along to our monthly WordPress "virtual" meetup. This month we will be hosting Chris O'Dell from The Codesmiths Anvil.
Chris O'Dell started cutting code at the age of 15 on a ZX Spectrum, since then hasn't looked back for the last 37 years. Primarily writing code using the Microsoft stack of technologies, he has also written some WordPress plugins over the past 10 years as well as implementing a number of bespoke WordPress sites.
Automated testing can bring many benefits to both plugin and theme development. In this talk Chris will talk about some of the key concepts behind Test Driven Development and Behaviour Driven Development. He will then go on to demonstrate how customer stories written using Behaviour Driven Development techniques, such as writing requirements using Gherkin syntax and using a Cucumber implementation, can be converted into automated tests for plugins.
