Do You Practice Tai Chi presently?

yes... attending this particular Meet Up has motivated me to practice as often as I can....

How long have you been practicing?

years .... and I have been coming to this particular Meet Up since spring 2017

What form do your practice?

Yang style form traditional 108 movements aka the Long Form. When partners are available, I also practice the other four formalized 2-person forms ie Tui shou, 3 Step Tui shou, Da Lu, & San Shou rounding out the full Yang Style curriculum.

What do you find most pleasant about Tai Chi

It is a fascinating "one size fits all" method of exercise for both the mind and body. What is surprising is how lively tai chi moving practice can be. What is a secret is that at the higher levels of practice, one can develop great foot other words "lively legs."

What do you find most challenging about it?

What is most challenging is the willingness to focus on learning through cooperation and give up on winning. That's a very tall order given most students of martial arts want the certificate or the gold medal or the black belt as soon as possible. Tai chi does not really work for anyone on a fast track. For everybody else willing to take the long view, you will be rewarded in the long run.
