What we're about

March 9, 2022 - Apple Eco-System, Good & Annoyances.
The Adventure Continues: Apple Watch, HomePods, Home App, and Apple card Join iPad/iPhone.
Presenter: Gabe Goldberg who is an Advisor for Region 2 - DC, DE, MD, NC, NJ, VA, WVA. Gabe served as Director of (Meeting) Programs for the Washington, DC-area APCUG.
Gabe tells us: I've previously presented my early and ongoing iPad experiences and later addition of iPhone to the mix, with wonderful synergy and serendipity (and a few annoyances). I'll briefly recap that iPad/iPhone beginning and update my Apple ecosystem devices/software/experiences to the present. Over the last eight months I've added an Apple Watch (courtesy of Heartline cardio study), three HomePod Minis, the Home app, and multiple Siri-controlled outlets. And I've switched credit card usage to Apple card. Everyone's environment is different, with unique settings and apps; I'll discuss how I set up and use things. While this presentation is explicitly Apple-specific, more-or-less equivalent facilities are available with non-Apple devices and software.
April 13, 2022 - Windows 11 is Here!
Presenter: Bill James, VICE PRESIDENT, COMPUTER CLUB OF OKLAHOMA CITY.
Windows 11 and 10 look quite different, but much of what we like to use is still the same. Bill’s presentation takes us through What’s New, What’s Changed, and What is no longer included. Then, he will start you on your journey deciding if Windows 11 is for you or if you will stay with Windows 10 for a while longer. Of course, you have until 2025 to make up your mind but learning something new keeps us sharp.
