You are never, ever too old to ride or learn about beautiful horses. Riding is an all round internal & external body workout that promotes great balance, terrific flexibility, strength & incredible stress relief, but is a lot more fun than the boring gym. If therapeutic riding for the disabled & our veterans controls more body activity that regular physical therapy can't accomplish, think what this can do for you. For those of you, with some physical problems, overweight or just plain fear, the on the ground program will fill your horse habit. Learning to lead the horse, grooming & care will still provide gentle exercise & a stress reducing experience with these beautiful animals.
Visits to training barns, different horse breeds, horse shows, trails, breeding farms, racetrack, horseshoeing, veterinary care are just some additional activities to add to your horse knowledge. And there is nothing like the camaraderie of meeting other horse lovers, who speak the same language at the weekly classes or a big barbecue. Go home happy, relaxed & feeling 10 years younger!!
