What we're about

This is a group for anyone who identifies as an artist. We will hold regular meetings in support of one another's goals to make art in any form, be it visual, performing, musical, amateur or professional. This is not a critique group and we will not be looking at one another's work, nor is this a professional mixer or networking event: this is about supporting each other as individuals, and discussing the unique challenges that come along with making a life in the arts.

Who should attend?
Anyone committed to regularly making art who is interested in discussing the everyday challenges (and joys!) of art practice in a supportive environment with a group of like-minded people.

What do we do?
We sit in a group and share our motivations, frustrations, successes, creative blocks and ideas.

Do I need to attend every meeting?
No! This is an open group with a drop-in policy. Come to a meeting if you feel like talking and listening.

We will roughly hew to the A.R.T.S. Anonymous format, itself modeled on the 12-step/AA/recovery group structure. Read more about that here:

(Please note: This is not a substitute for therapy and there will be no therapist present at these meetings.)
