Chicago Black Women in Tech

Chicago Black Women in Tech was founded in 2017 with the goal of changing how black women determine their road to success and tackle challenges in their careers. Our initiatives are a direct reflection of our members’ needs and address the impact that gender and race have on an individual’s career in tech.

We believe that the current challenges facing black women in the tech industry can be overcome through cooperation. Our success depends on creating and maintaining a safe space for black women to drive their careers and seek assistance. As an organization that is driven and organized by black women, we recognize that the adversity that black women can face occurs across the socio-economic spectrum. Consequently, empathy and emotional intelligence are crucial to building a community that can advocate for and support all of its members.
