Metaprogramming Techniques For Performant C++

Details

George Kondiles, the VP of Engineering
for Ocient (our newest corporate
sponsor), will share some of his
techniques that have enabled Ocient to
build a database platform that is
benchmarking 1000 times faster than
Cassandra and Hadoop.

Ocient will also be providing food and
beverages, as they did for our last two
meetings.

George Kondiles is the VP of Engineering
and a co-founder at Ocient. He has
architected and written multiple large scale
systems including a realtime payment
processing system and a distributed
high-throughput implementation of NFS.
In his past projects he has focused on
leveraging the C++ language to produce
performant, maintainable, and reliable
systems. He has brought his experience
and knowledge in this domain to his work
at Ocient, where he continues with the goal
of achieving exceptional performance
and scale using C++.
