Are you LGBT+ and interested in needlepoint, whether it’s cross stitching or embroidery? Are you looking to expand your social circle? Well then let’s get together and make some cool stuff! All levels of skill are welcome, from the newbie who doesn’t know what backstiching is to the grandmaster who’s able to cross stitch with their eyes closed. I’m just hoping for a good group dynamic to have a great time. Location is tbd, still getting that sorted out, but ideally I’m thinking down near the Belmont/Lakeview area. If you have any suggestions I’d be happy to hear them. I have extra supplies if you’re new and are curious so you don’t have to go out and buy a bunch of stuff.
Hey ladies, gentlemen, and my non-binary friends!
Right now I’ve contacted the Center on Halsted to reserve a room for us on Tuesday, Sept. 24th at 7pm!
Ive requested the room to be reserved for an hour right now, and I’ll send out another message closer to the activity date. Show up when you can, it doesn’t have be to immediately at 7pm.
If you’re a veteran stitcher/embroider feel free to bring your stuff; if you’re new to the activity I’ll have extra materials for you to use and practice with.
As this is the Center on Halsted I won’t be providing any food/beverages because they’re picky about their catering providers and I don’t want to get into all that with them, so bring any snacks or beverages you might want (excluding liquor because I’m not sure if I’d have to pay extra for that).
Look forward to seeing you all soon!
