Please join us to learn and practice Nonviolent Communication in the Chicago Metro area.
This Meet Up group will promote workshops, retreats and practice of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) as taught by Marshall Rosenberg, Ph D. We will promote events led by Certified Trainers of NVC and candidates in the certification program of the Center for Nonviolent Communication. In addition, we will consider requests from others with NVC training as well.
Nonviolent Communication (NVC), a model developed by Marshall Rosenberg in the late 1960s. Dr. Rosenberg was motivated to help people connect with their own humanity and that of others respectfully, compassionately, peacefully and with joy. NVC offers a practical and unique model to empower and transform relationships. It is inspirational in its invitation to cherish the needs of others as our own. We predict it will offer challenge and satisfaction to all who wish to embrace life more fully.

Join us each month for a dedicated practice circle designed to foster deeper connection, mutual understanding, and transformative dialogue that embraces conflict as an opportunity for learning and growth.
In this supportive space, we will explore and apply Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and other peacebuilding practices while actively working to disrupt the habits of domination culture and connect to our inherent compassionate nature.
Through guided exercises, reflective practices, and open dialogue, we’ll nurture compassion, strengthen communication across divides, and cultivate relationships rooted in mutual respect and collaboration.
