About Self Serve Testing: 2 Years of Docker Swarm in AWS:
With teams being expected to deliver new features faster than ever before, the importance of rapid on-demand testing has only become more important. Similarly, as teams grow, it becomes critical to have a scalable system through which developers can deploy production-like environments for a multitude of different services.

Over the past two years ReviewTrackers has grown from using a static-environment development pipeline to a highly scalable set of tools allowing deployment of ephemeral environments for QA and CI/CD purposes. This has enabled us to maintain a rapid pace of development involving multiple deploys per day, a rapid development feedback loop, and fast onboarding for new developers.

In this talk, we will go over the steps that we took to get to this point - covering the changes to both tools and processes that we made over the past two years. This includes lessons learned with Docker Swarm, AWS, Jenkins, Selenoid, and Terraform.

About David:
I've been programming for a little over a decade at this point, and doing so in a professional setting for about 6 years. While my hobby programming has mostly focused on game and artificial intelligence development, my professional experience is almost exclusively rooted in DevOps. I have a history of doing presentations in front of tens to hundreds of people at internal meetings, and have spent a decent amount of time doing improv and acting.

At ReviewTrackers, we’re dedicated to building simple, helpful technology that bridges the gap between the brand and the customer. Our software empowers businesses to understand their customers better, build more trust, and find the insights that move their business forward.

About SauceLabs:
Before Sauce, testing was broken. It was tedious, expensive, time-consuming, and put focus on annoying infrastructure issues. With Sauce, innovators accelerate their software development cycles, improve quality, deploy with confidence, reduce costs, and improve innovation.
