¡Bienvenidos a bordo! This is the TrueNorth Spanish Language MeetUp. Let’s speak some Spanish over a cup of coffee at the lovely and cozy TrueNorth cafe in Andersonville. ¿Qué países han visitado? This Saturday let’s discuss places you have visited or would like to visit, whether or not they are a Spanish speaking country. Nos vemos el sábado!
(Note: Many people attend without RSVPing, we usually have 15-20 people every Saturday.) Panera Bread, 501 S. State St (at E. Congress Pkwy) in Chicago. The closest "L" stations are Harrison on the red line, Jackson on the blue line, and Library on the pink, brown and purple lines; it is across the street from Harold Washington Library. There are affordable parking lots and also metered street parking in the area. We usually seat at a big table by the back area of the place, close to the back door. While there is no fee for participating, a $5 minimum purchase at the venue is recommended. (Let's keep the venue happy!) This is the usual description of the event: Nos reunimos para aprender, practicar y conversar en español. Mucha gente asiste a las reuniones para prepararse para viajar a España y a países latinoamericanos! Por favor haz RSVP = yes para asegurar que habrá suficientes personas para mantener nuestra reserva. --- We meet to learn, practice, and converse in Spanish. A lot of people are attending an event to prepare for travelling to Spain and Latin American countries! Please make your RSVP = yes to assure that we have enough people to hold our reservation. N.B. Intentaremos hablar en español, pero principiantes y hispanohablantes de todos los niveles son bienvenidos. --- N.B. We will try to speak Spanish, but beginners and Spanish Speakers of all levels are welcome.
Come and practice your Spanish. We are a group that enjoys learning from each other and we welcome all those who love the Spanish language. Oak Mill Plaza Mall is located on the SW corner of Milwaukee and Oakton. Look for us at a table across from the deli. This is a great place for conversation because it's quiet. The tables are in a common area and there is no need to buy refreshments, but if you would like a beverage, pastry, sandwich, or snack, check out the deli or bring your own. Parking is easy! ¡Nos vemos allí!
The south side Spanish group is back! As usual, we'll be chatting in Spanish and helping each other improve. It'll be just casual conversation. Nothing will be strict at all, so don't feel pressured to not make mistakes. All levels are welcome, including native speakers. So, feel free to come on out! The shop has really awesome tres leches cakes as well. :) There is plenty of parking nearby if you drive or if you're talking public transit, Kristoffer's is about a 13-minute walk from the 35/Archer Orange Line station. Hope to see some of you there!
