Tech for Good: Creating Community Tools for an Uncertain World- FREE!

We here at General Assembly are so proud, (but not surprised) that our graduates decided to put their software and design skills to work right away in order to alleviate the burdens that the current global difficulties have placed on so many people. A cross-functional team of User Experience Design, Data Science, and Software Engineering graduates have created digital product solutions in an attempt to do good for our world. We are delighted to support them here at General Assembly and in this spirit we would like to invite you all to experience the product reveal and interact with our talented graduates! These are the two digital products that will be presented: Primary Care "The nation is in the midst of COVID-19, and it has become apparent that older adult care facilities are in need of assistance. There have been numerous reports of families unaware of outbreaks within their loved ones facilities, and in some serious cases, no notification of family members being diagnosed with COVID-19. PrimaryCare has tackled the issue of communication between families and facilities. Direct points of contact are now able to stay in communication with their loved ones, receive important announcements and incident reports, as well as have easy access to health log information." Untapped Societies "Underserved communities need an easy way to access skill-building/career resources so they can be better equipped, trained, and informed in order to survive in today’s changing job market. Simultaneously, businesses and organizations need an effective way to streamline the process of outreach and networking to better serve/empower these communities and create a diverse working environment. By creating a digital platform along with an effective outreach strategy, we can help underserved job seeker communities access resources. Doing this will enable users, businesses and organizations to efficiently find connections to opportunities and stay ahead of the changing job market." https://www.eventbrite.com/e/tech-for-good-creating-community-tools-for-an-uncertain-world-tickets-111984432452
