This is a group for young women (20s-early 30s) looking for connection, support, and conversation around sobriety, recovery, and the role of alcohol in our lives. I am 25 years old and got sober at 23. I didn't take the AA route, and one of the first places I looked was MeetUp to find and connect with other sober-ish young women. Unfortunately, I didn't find much that was active at the time - so I am starting this meet up! A big part of my journey has been finding women in my peer group who are on a similar path as me, because being "young" and "sober" isn't the norm in our world! I want to create a place where young women can come together and talk about alcohol, the role it plays in our lives and build a space to connect on a deeper level. Whether you're sober, the child of an alcoholic, questioning your drinking, etc. I would love for you to join me!
I want to create a standing monthly meet-up where you can come, invite others who are on a similar journey, and have a place to connect and support one another on a consistent basis. This will take place on the 2nd Friday of every month.
You are right for this group if...
- You are a "young" woman (you are a female between the ages of 20-35)
- You are questioning the role alcohol plays in your life
- You are in recovery/have quit drinking
- You want to connect with young women who don't drink
** Time/location of meet-up can be discussed/changed... my goal is to have a standing, monthly event**
This is a group for non-drinkers and those looking for support around getting sober. I ask that you please do not join if you are an active drinker!
