What we’re about

Hi everyone!

The Chicago Apple Meetup Group is an amazing bunch of friends that presents speakers from around the world to show us how to do amazing things. We also have some really great local people who present to us, too. You are more than welcome to join us! Our meetings might range from doing incredible photography, or working with music, or interior design, or improving your writing, and much more, all using your Mac or iOS hardware and software.

We get together on the first Wednesday of every month, and have been going very strong since 1984, the year the Mac was introduced. Our speakers will introduce you to many innovations before they are out in public, and you'll get a front row seat for some of the finest presentations in the country.

Many times our speakers are at the cutting edge of exciting developments, and significant players in the Mac and iOS world. A few examples have included Adam Engst, Bob LeVitus, Jason Snell, the team at Prosoft Engineering, and Andy Ihnatko, to mention a few.

Beyond just meetings, you can connect up with local Mac and iOS users and developers. Have a question? We have the answers! Have an idea? We have people that can make your idea a reality! Want to contribute? There are many ways to do that!

So mark the first Wednesday of every month on your calendar. We meet at After Words Books, 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and then we go out to eat afterward.

The meetings and connections are free to attend. If you wish to support the work of the club, you can join for $45/year. Benefits of joining include great discounts, first notice of upcoming events, and much more.

I look forward to seeing you every month at our meetings. Remember to bring friends, and come prepared to have a great time learning to do amazing things with your Mac and iOS hardware and software!
