Come out and join us for a fun, well deserved FREE Dads Night Out @ Whirlyball Lombard, where we are going to get a group of guys together who want to play Whirlyball on Friday, Nov. 21 @ 8:30PM.

For those of you who have not been to one of our Dads Night Out events, these are exclusively for DADS ONLY and absolutely no women or kids are allowed, so leave them behind, come alone and be prepared to have fun!!!

Between the Chicago Dads Group and our valued sponsor $99 Per Room Interior Painting Professionals (http://99perroom.com/Nurseries.html) we have taken care of all the costs associated with renting/securing this venue complete with two hours of WhirlyBall court time and a private party viewing area with sports bar.

What is WhirlyBall you ask? WhirlyBall combines lacrosse, hockey and basketball with bumper cars in a game of skill, chance, honor and vengeance. WhirlyBall has caused great athletes of every stripe to laugh and holler their way to a crushing defeat. If you choose to accept the challenge, you'll use hand-held scoops to propel whiffle balls at your scoring target. In a team of five, and with the help of a referee, you'll have a bang-up time trying to outscore the competition. There are two ways to acquire points. One is by making the shot, which is good for two points, three points from half court. The second is by acquiring penalty points assessed against the opposing team. In all cases, penalty points are awarded to the team not guilty of committing the penalty. Play does not stop. Referee officiates from a mezzanine above the court and will keep score including calling all penalties.

FYI ~ We are going to set the start time for 8:30PM where we will check-in, pick teams, meet our referee and learn the rules of the game before our Whirlyball court rental begins at nine o'clock. In order to give everyone at least 30 minutes of play, we have limited the RSVP to a total of 30 members, leaving 10-15 minutes per game for team changeover & pregame setup.

Game 1 @ 9:00pm - 9:30pm

Game 2 @ 9:45pm - 10:15pm

Game 3 @ 10:30pm - 11:00pm

Shortly after 8:30PM, we will randomly pick teams by having everyone draw colored golf balls out of a bag (Survivor style) and then write in those team members on the brackets by name and at what time everyone will be playing. For anyone who joins us after the lottery drawing of teams, those guys can add their name to any of the remaining open slots on the bracket.

Depending on which game you play, everyone must be ready 10 minutes prior to the start of your game or you will not be able to play, so just keep that in mind with closing out bar tabs, etc. With everyones cooperation our referee will be able to make our changeovers go as smoothly as possible!

Be aware that the fun is not just happening on the court, it will also happens in our private party viewing area where everyone else who is not playing at that particular time can watch the action on the court with attached bar.

In order for us to get the most bang for our buck and be able to get the most guys to join us, we decided to spend our funds on WhirlyBall court time, leaving any food/drink purchases to be at your own expense.

And finally, assuming that we will have a waiting list, we ask that if by chance you need to cancel your reservation, to please do so as soon as possible or by no later than 72-hrs prior to event so that others can come.
