Celebrate FATHER'S EVE with a Dads Night Out @ WhirlyBall (Lombard)

This year is our 2nd Annual FATHERS EVE "Dads Night Out" and we decided to start another tradition by organizing a Charity Fundraising Event to benefit one of our local charities, a different one every year... this time we will raise funds for LITTLE CITY (http://www.littlecity.org) (who helps families with children of Autism and/or Developmental Disabilities); and we invite you to join us for a FUN Dads Night Out while giving back!

This will be a private event, only for members of Chicago Dads Group (sorry, no +1's), but if you want to invite some other fatherly friends to go with, please do so but they must join our group inorder to RSVP!

Tickets are $50-$75/person depending on when you buy them and you will get the following entertainment from us... two hours of unlimited drinks that include: Import & Domestic +Craft Beer/ House Wines/ Soda, plus a minimum 30-minutes of WhirlyBall play! Remember this is a Charity Fundraising Event so a portion of our ticket sales will go towards the donation, in addition to what we raise from silent auction.

For those of you who have never been to one of our Dads Night Out before, these are exclusively for DADS ONLY, absolutely no women or no kids are allowed, so come alone and be prepared to have fun!

FYI ~ We are going to set the start time for 8:00PM where we will check-in, hand out wristbands, meet our referee and learn the rules of the game before our Whirlyball court rental begins at 8:30PM. In order to give everyone at least 30 minutes of Whirlyball play, we have limited the RSVP to a total of 40 dads, leaving a couple minutes between each 10-minute games for team changeover.

Be aware that the fun is not just happening on the court, it will also happens in our private party viewing area where everyone else who is not playing at that particular time can watch the action on the court with attached bar, plenty of TVs to watch your favorite sporting events plus billiard pool tables ($1 per game) in our private party area. Our 2-hour unlimited drink package will begin 8:30PM thru 10:30PM and any drinks purchased before or after this time will be at your own expense. We also are not including any food, since that would only increase our ticket price even more, since its a later evening event we decided to exclude food and have it be at your own expense.

Remember this is a Charity Fundraising Event so a portion of our ticket sales will go towards the donation, in addition to what we raise from our silent auction.

What is WhirlyBall you ask?

WhirlyBall combines lacrosse, hockey and basketball with bumper cars in a game of skill, chance, honor and vengeance. WhirlyBall has caused great athletes of every stripe to laugh and holler their way to a crushing defeat. If you choose to accept the challenge, you'll use hand-held scoops to propel whiffle balls at your scoring target. In a team of five, and with the help of a referee, you'll have a bang-up time trying to outscore the competition. There are two ways to acquire points. One is by making the shot, which is good for two points, three points from half court. The second is by acquiring penalty points assessed against the opposing team. In all cases, penalty points are awarded to the team not guilty of committing the penalty. Play does not stop. Referee officiates from a mezzanine above court and will keep score including calling all penalties.
