GIS Lightning Talks: With Special Focus on Cartography

Details
We are excited to announce our third round of GIS Lightning Talks. Join us on September 19th at DePaul's loop location (1 E. Jackson Blvd, 5th Floor Room 5800) for mappy goodness and the sharing of ideas and work. We asked members at our last round of Geo Networking what they wanted to hear in this round of Lightning Talks and result was: Cartography!
We would like for this round of Lightning Talks to include presentations on any and all aspects of cartography, map making, and map design. Whether they are about software, aesthetics, or technique - or any combination thereof - we'd love for your ideas on quick talks and presentations that focus on communicating spatial information effectively.
The plan:
We schedule a series of presentations with the following format: 5 minutes for each talk, immediately followed by 5 minutes of Q&A. After presentations we will meet for Geo-Networking at Plymouth bar across the street!
Interested Speakers:
Contact us! Tina or Andrea would love to hear your talk ideas! We're such a diverse group of mappers and we would love to have that reflected in this event.
