What we're about

Chicago Inspiring Connections Outdoors is part of the National Inspiring Connections Outdoors (ICO), an outreach program of Sierra Club Outdoors, contributing to the creation of more equitable outdoor environments by connecting youth with limited access to the outdoors with outings that promote wellness, exploration & leadership (i.e. hiking, camping, indoor rock climbing, canoeing & more). Learn more about the program on our website (https://www.sierraclub.org/illinois/chicago-ico) and by following us on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/ChicagoICO/).

Our program depends on volunteers who help plan, lead, and assist on outings; help with fundraising efforts; contribute to our community and bring their passion and skills to the cause. Volunteers must be 18+, submit an application and go through a background check before joining us on any outings (required because we work with youth via our community partners). If you'd like to volunteer with us, complete our application linked below and return to chicagoico@gmail.com or reach out for more info and ways to get involved.

*Note: You won't be accepted into the Meetup Group until you've submitted a volunteer application that has been processed and approved.*
