CJUG 2020 Year-End Celebration

Details

As 2020 is coming to an end, let us take some time to celebrate together as a user group, and with friends from the local as well as worldwide tech communities (which extend beyond the Java ecosystem)!

We will be having an exciting line-up of our guests of honor: Java Champions, great speakers and luminaries from the Java community, as well as a few leaders from the Oracle Java Program (Heather Van Cura-JCP Program Director, Sharat Chander-Java/DevRel Program Director, and potentially more!). Already confirmed with us include: David Blevins (https://twitter.com/dblevins), Amelia Blevins (https://twitter.com/ameliaeiras), Josh Long (https://twitter.com/starbuxman), Pratik Patel (https://twitter.com/prpatel), Ken Fogel (https://twitter.com/omniprof), Rodrigo Graciano (https://twitter.com/rodrigograciano), Don Raab (https://twitter.com/TheDonRaab), Chandra Guntur (https://twitter.com/CGuntur).... We are expecting to hear from more amazing folks!

We are especially thankful to Konfy, organizer of jLove (https://jlove.konfy.care), for sponsoring the party and hosting us on an exciting digital platform: spatial.chat. We believe that you will not be disappointed with the social mingling experience.

IMPORTANT:

We are not asking you for anything to join us, but, we would like to ask everyone to abide by our simple code of conduct: be respectful of one another. Please be aware that Konfy and CJUG reserve the right to ask any violator of the code to leave.

WHAT TO BRING and WHAT TO EXPECT:

Among a wide range of possibilities, feel free to bring your questions, start some good conversations, play a game, solve a puzzle, meet some new friends, mingle with everyone, or simply relax and listen to some holiday music while sipping on your favorite drink in the comfort of your home.

Note:

In order to accommodate our friends in different time zones, we are going to start the party in the afternoon (US time) and extend it over several hours. Please feel free to join and re-join as many times as you'd like. We hope that this will be a good opportunity for us to connect and/or re-connect with one another despite the pandemic lockdown.
