What we’re about
Organized in 2018 by cardiologist, Dr Steven Lome, our focus is on the power of plant-based nutrition to help people live their best, healthiest lives, fighting the current epidemic of chronic disease. This group aims to afford people with a wide range of activities to learn and to support one another on their plant-based journey. Our activities include local group meetings, community education events, plant-based cooking classes, screening documentaries, host guest speakers, organize "jump starts", etc.

Culinary Medicine for Sickle Cell Warriors: A 4-Week In-Person ProgramPeople with sickle cell disease (SCD) face complications that start in early childhood and worsen with age—frequent pain crises, hospital stays, and life-threatening organ damage. With an average life expectancy of just 52 years, the impact goes far beyond physical pain. Missed school days, limited job opportunities, and daily fatigue weigh heavily on individuals and families alike.
