We facilitate hands-on technology-centric events and programs to empower, support, and increase the confidence of women and girls. This group is one of 25 Chapters across the nation. --ChickTech: High School-- ChickTech: High School is an annual program offered entirely free to ~100 girls in the New York City area introducing them to technology as a potential career. Want to welcome the next generation of technologists to the ChickTech Nation? New York's ChickTech: High School Program Committee meets weekly to plan this year's Cohort Kickoff starting in May. Kickoff is a 2-day event offering different hands-on workshops to get girls excited about technology opportunities. Workshops include robotics, UX & UI design, circuitry, and more. After Kickoff, girls can opt-in to workshops of their choice. --ChickTech: Career Programming-- ChickTech: Career Programming offers networking opportunities, hands-on workshops, and conferences to women of all ages (and careers!). We believe our events will help to keep women engaged in high tech, provide the confidence to move into technical fields, and overall create a community of supportive, intelligent, and amazing women. ChickTech events are all-inclusive.

What we're about

ChickTech is a non-profit organization dedicated to retaining women in the technology workforce and increasing the number of girls pursuing technology-based careers by building community and providing networking opportunities, mentoring, and empowering women and girls to see themselves as leaders in the rapidly growing high tech industry. We fulfill our mission by creating fun, hands-on technology events for girls and women. Women meet to plan events for career women and introduce local youth to technology as a possible career.
