What we're about
We are a local chapter of ChickTech, a national nonprofit organization, working to close the gender gap in the technology and engineering sectors. Our group creates welcoming and inclusive meetups in and around Orange County to get together, learn and network. Our goal is to build a tech community where women and girls are encouraged, empowered and welcome. All genders are welcome to attend and participate in our career events. From time to time we may have women only career events at the request of our community partners.

We have a suggested donation listed for a number of our career events. For those events, we utilize at ticketing system to collect donations. We ask that everyone attending the event RSVP through our ticketing system page in order to allow us to ensure that we have adequate space and refreshments.
Out of respect for our event supporters and hosts, we cannot guarantee seats and refreshments for those who do not RSVP through a given ticketing link. Please keep in mind that our chapter is financially impacted whenever we have no-shows or we don't receive donations. Without donations, we won't be able to offer the events we do and we won't be able to offer refreshments at every event. Volunteers in good standing with our organization are not asked or expected to donate to attend an event.
Out of respect for our sponsors, volunteers, and community members we require 48 hours notice with any RSVP changes to ensure that all members have the opportunity to attend our events and that our sponsors are able to receive an accurate headcount for room capacity, food and beverage, etc.
- Members who are chronic no shows (at least 3 events) for events where a waitlist is implemented; or the organization must take on prepaid costs, or where there is an attendee minimum can be removed from the group at the organizations discretion.
-If a member changes their RSVP to a "no" at one of the above listed events with less than 48 hours notice, they will be counted as a no show. -If an event reaches capacity, we reserve the right to move members with 2 no shows to the waitlist.
