Following the advice by the government businesses offering outdoor exercise activities can meet as long they have performed a risk assessment and apply covid 19 measures. We are monitoring government announcements which we will follow with respect to the size of the groups allowed.

Please take the following precautions if you are planning on attending this walk:

  1. only attend the walks if you have no symptoms or no reason to believe you have been exposed to the virus
  2. Only attend the walks if you or anyone you are a carer for, or share a household with, are not in the vulnerable category
  3. greet people without physical contact
  4. Walk at a safe distance from others on the walk at least 2 meters apart.
  5. Bring hand sanitiser or a cloth for opening gates.

The walk starts at the Bridgewater monument.Descends down to the pretty village of Albury, up into the ancient woods at Albury Nowers, then out onto Pitstone Hill where there are great views all the way to Ivinghoe Beacon. From Ivinghoe Beacon we take a woodland route past Bluebells and Wild Garlic back to the start. The plan is to take a lunch stop at the Beacon.

Approx 8.5 miles. (1150 feet ascent). 4.5 hours.

The charge for the walk is £5 and due to the limit on number of places, is due when you sign up, places will be allocated to those that have paid.

If you cancel I'm afraid this amount is non refundable unless the walk is cancelled so please only sign up and pay if you are certain you will make the walk.
