  • Whether you are a newbie wanting to break in to UX or a seasoned pro, we can always do with a few tips and tricks for our portfolios and how to land that perfect role! Given that the new year is when a lot of us think about a change, we thought this would be perfect timing!

Steve Arnold (ex Wynyard Group, Orion Health & E2 Digital) has seen many a CV and Portfolio and will share his tips and tricks on how to create a stellar impression.

Also valuable for hiring managers on what to look for when your are reviewing a UX portfolio.

This will also be our last event before Christmas, so a good chance to socialise and have a drink (or 2)!

While I am going to discuss applying for UX jobs in general, this talk will mainly be focussing on UX Portfolios; why we need them, what makes them different from other design portfolios, and the process of creating a portfolio that tells your story. Hopefully this is useful for everyone from experienced practitioners to those just starting their UX career journey, as well as tips for hiring managers and recruiters. These are my takeaways from the last few years as a UX Manager, and I am hoping there will be some good questions and insights (and even some debate) from attendees too. Looking forward to seeing you all for a good discussion... now I just have to create the presentation.
