In this demo, we will be showing an eclipse based tool to simply the process of building data rich mobile applications that include HTML5 based visualization of analytics data and insights.
The tool can be used by both developers via customized, scriptable widgets connected to data sources, and by business users from simple excel spreadsheets or local data files.
The tools greatly simplifies and speeds up the app creation process for data intensive apps and visualizations.

Benoit Marchant (@benoitmarchant) has been bringing innovative, native-class, user experience to web applications for more than 13 years. Most recently, he is the creator ofMontage, a modern HTML5 framework, which he started with his team as Director of Engineering at Motorola Mobility. Montage was designed from the ground up to create native-class HTML5 applications for mobile and is open-source under a BSD license.

Before working on Montage, Benoit spent more than 10 years at Apple. As the lead developer of HomePage, a web page builder part of iTools -now iCloud- he re-imagined online photo albums by allowing users to re-order pictures by drag and drop. This feature was presented by Steve Jobs during his Macworld New York keynote in 2000. After helping to launch the iTunes Store in 2003, he worked on the iTunes Store's content management application. During that time he envisioned and created Gianduia, his first JavaScript Framework built to simplify the development of rich internet applications, and used to build Apple Retail Applications. He then led the team responsible for providing cutting-edge interactive JavaScript features for apple.com worldwide.

Presentation:

There is a growing demand to build increasingly complex mobile applications with HTML5, in part due to its cross-platform appeal. However delivering these applications is still very challenging. The Montage framework was designed from the ground up to build complex HTML5 applications for Mobile. This talk will explain how Montage’s reusable and encapsulated Components provides a natural and effective way to write modular, robust, applications faster by allowing team members to work on different part at the same time.
