This is a group for anyone interested in photographing and identifying invertebrates such as insects, spiders, and any other examples of local tiny wildlife. I started this group as a way to meet other people who are interested not only in the technical aspects of macro wildlife photography, but also in learning about taxonomy and the invertebrate ecology of our area.

Members who attended a meetup can post their photos from the event in the appropriate photo album (under the "Photos" tab) afterward, or you can post any other general bug photos that you've been taking in the most recent "Open Photos" album if you like.  Also, feel free to start a new thread on the message board if you've got something to share or discuss.  And you'll find a growing list of online bug identification resources under the "Pages" tab.

I look forward to exploring parks and outdoor spaces, learning new methods of macro photography, and discussing the identification of creatures that we have found.
