What we're about
In 480 BCE, King Leonidas led an army of 300 Spartan Warriors into the Thermopylae pass in order to stop the tyranny of Xerxes and his massive parsain army. Against all odds and with certain death before them, they held off the invasion long enough for the rest of the greek city-states to mount an army and defeat the invaders!
Today, we honor Leonidas and his brave 300 by competing in trials of brute strength and endurance - Spartan Races!
This group is for anyone who is interested in what a spartan race is, training for a race, or running a race with a team of warriors at your side. There will be posts of upcoming races, meetups for workouts as a group, and other fun activities!
