Please relate, in general terms, your backpacking experience.

I would say that I am experienced and a survivalist. But no expert!

What was your favorite backpacking experience?

My wife and I backpacked 19 miles with an overnight camping trip.

What was your funniest backpacking moment?

My funniest trip would have to be the trip I took up Mt. Olympus in Utah. I did the trip myself to the summit. On the way back down the mountain I came across a switchback and stumbled upon a “large” snake and I jumped about 5 feet back. I wasn’t paying attention or ready for it. Turned out to be a stick….

What was your most embarrassing backpacking moment?

Same as above!

What's the longest backpacking trip you've ever taken? (in mileage and/or days)

Longest: Mileage 35, Days 5, Elevation over 14,000

I've been backpacking for 8 years. Luckily I have a job that pays for me to travel, so I’m able to hike and go mountaineering all around the country. The more I climb and hike the more I want to challenge myself and push myself to new extremes.
