What we're about
Welcome to the Circa Theatre Meetup Group! We've been organising events for theatre enthusiasts since 2010. We are a fun, theatre-loving group from all over Wellington. For each event we often have a number of new attendees as well as those who attend more regularly.
Once you are a member of the Circa Theatre Meetup Group, you can RSVP for any of the events posted. Sometimes we attend the opening night of a new play and then go to the after party, other times we meet for drinks beforehand, and we often get a chance to speak to the cast or directors.
How booking a ticket works:
Event Hosts reserve a section of seating for Meetup members. Attendees then must call the box office to pay for their required seats.
To ensure you get the Circa Theatre Meetup group discount and seating with the group, you have to call the box office on 04 801 7992 to pay for your ticket after RSVPing to the event on Meetup.
You will have to provide your full name and contact phone number the first time a ticket is booked to add into the Circa Theatre Ticket Database. It helps to have your surname on your Meetup profile so we can match you from the RSVP list and the ticket database.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at marketing@circa.co.nz, or message the organiser Tanya Piejus.
Cheers,
The Circa Theatre crew and organiser Tanya Piejus

you ever calculated your own net worth?

Something has to change.
Tessa is a criminal defence lawyer at the top of her game and loving it: defending, cross-examining, and playing the rules of the law to win. But when the tables turn she finds herself at the mercy of the very system that she has dedicated her life to. Shadows of doubt are illuminated, making us question, who is our legal system serving?
Turning our courts of law into a different kind of stage, this sharp, witty and gripping one-woman show written by Suzie Miller has sold out throughout Australia, the West End, and is soon to land on Broadway. This phenomenal production starring Mel Dodge (Miss Brontë) and directed by Lyndee-Jane Rutherford (Rants in the Dark) continues an urgent conversation for Aotearoa New Zealand.
Audience Care: This show includes themes of sexual assault. Recommended for audiences 12+
Prima Facie was first produced by Griffin Theatre Company in May 2019 at the SBW Stables Theatre

In the midst of a birthday celebration, Rangi and Hūkerikeri (Keri) are caught off guard when two unexpected guests crash through the door intent on robbing the couple. But things don’t go as planned when the older couple mistake the would-be thieves for their deceased son and his wife.
Come with us as we explore the dangers of love and secrets. Of loving someone too much, not enough and being starved of it.
Join the minds behind such shows as Black Ties, Larger Than Life and Peter, Paka, Paratene for a truly heart breaking and surreal theatre experience.
