James Bindler began his career at Midland Bank PLC in New York in 1983. He ran the Forward FX trading desk from 1985 until 1990, when he left to join Citi’s New York FX option trading desk. After trading Yen and exotic options, James moved to London to trade GBP interest rate options and long-date FX options. In 1997 he left the bank to join Natwest Capital Markets in their newly formed proprietary trading group but returned to Citi in 2000 in the role of Head of Non-Linear Trading for Ceemea. In 2003 he was appointed head of trading for Ceemea and in 2007 added the role of Global Head of FX Options. James has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Colby College in Maine, USA.
