What we're about

Citizens' Climate Lobby (CCL) is a grass roots national organization -- with chapters across the country, including Mountain View -- that is focused on and dedicated to curtailing climate change. CCL's goal is to get the U.S. Congress to pass legislation imposing a carbon fee on fossil fuels with the proceeds to be returned to U.S. households as a dividend. The Silicon Valley North chapter works toward this goal by having volunteers write Letters to the Editor and Op-Ed pieces in local newspapers and by lobbying local members of Congress, by e-mail, letters and in-person meetings, to support carbon fee legislation. We usually meet on the second Monday of the month to exchange ideas and plan strategy on how to meet our goal. We typically have a social event in between the more structured monthly meetings - a great event for new members. If you want to help curtail climate change for this and future generations, please join us at one of our next meetings and learn how you can help.
