Want to know how to be an explorer of the world? This is an invitation to a four-part series of playshops through which we will re-learn to engage with the world within and around us; we will observe and document the world as we've never seen it before and at the end of it, you will have your own collection containing your unique vision of the world.
And, most importantly, you will learn to understand and use the most crucial tool for exploration: you.
1st playshop: In the first playshop we tapped into our imagination, we tickled our curiousity manipulating and distorting our senses, and we shared a few of our experiences. This was the start.
2nd playshop: In the second playshop we focused on finetuning the most important instrument of exploration: ourselves. Through mindfulness and improv theater we came to know our state of mind and found our setting for deep observation. We took a closer 'look' at how we make 'sense' of our observations and with this, we created and shared our own experiential 'spaces'.
3rd playshop: Building on the 1st and 2nd playshops, in this third playshop "Explorer's day out" we will combine imagination and curiosity with our honed skills for deep observation for an afternoon of discovery, collecting, and sampling.
"For me, understanding and enjoyment are the same thing. The more I understand, the more I enjoy; enjoyment is a product of understanding." - Democritus, Greek philosopher
If you feel like engaging in a journey of exploration then RSVP and bring along with you a durable notebook and a pencil/pen.
