Transcendental Photography: Elevating the Everyday (Annapolis)

*** IMPORTANT: Before your respond to this event, please go to http://www.cityscape-photo.com/workshops/06092019/transcendental-photography-elevating-the-everyday to register and pay **** On this unique Safari, we'll help you to slow down and really see in order to unlock your ability to photographically elevate the mundane to the magnificent. Everyday items and familiar places can offer powerful images in exchange for a little work, imagination, and practice. Traces of ivy pulled off of a painted wall. A really close-in shot of an ornamental cabbage. A shadow cast at just the right angle. For this kind of photography, the brand of camera isn't important. Point-and-shoot versus DSLR versus mirrorless isn't important. How much you spent on your equipment isn't important. Just look... see... isolate. Great photos are everywhere, but most people pass them by every day, unnoticed. This safari will help you see those missed images and start you on your way to a new realm of photography. This workshop is for ALL skill levels, including beginners - we will show you everything you need to know to make compelling images as we walk around beautiful downtown Annapolis. Save $20 with our Early Bird Special! Register by June 1, 2019, and pay only $109 instead of the regular price of $129. *** IMPORTANT: Before your respond to this event, please go to http://www.cityscape-photo.com/workshops/06092019/transcendental-photography-elevating-the-everyday ****

It's All Happening At The Zoo!

Philadelphia Zoo

**** NOTE: There is no charge via our Meetup group for this event, but admission to the Zoo is $24 for adults, $19 for children. The best bet is to buy them ahead of time online at https://phillyzoo.pivvit.com/purchase-tickets and avoid the long ticket lines **** A day at the Zoo on a Sunday in May! How great is that? Well, we tried it, but got totally rained out, so here we go again for Fathers Day in June! The Philadephia Zoo is spectacular, with a wide range of animals, some set in very modern, natural habitat, and others in older, Victorian-era zoo settings (mostly for birds and small mammals.) The Zoo opens at 9:30AM and closes at 5:00PM, so come and go as you please, and take lots of terrific photos while you're there. I'll be there at about 10AM, and I'll come up with a meetup location soon for anyone who wants to join me. You can also make arrangements to travel with and meetup with other members by using the discussion section of this page. Keep in mind that this will likely be a nice June Sunday, and there may be quite a crowd trying to get there by car, so please consider carpooling and public transportation (see https://www.philadelphiazoo.org/Visit/Public-Transportation.htm ) Hope to see you there! Cheers! Steve Rosenbach, your Organizer
