Solar Offset is a platform that allows the owners of small-scale solar panel and wind power systems in Alberta to get paid for the greenhouse gas emission reductions they are making. This additional revenue reduces the payback on micro-generation systems, making them more affordable and helping to accelerate the energy transition in the province. To make this happen, Solar Offset collects data from the individual system/owners and converts this data into Offset Credits that can be sold on the Alberta carbon market.
