Help to preserve the native plants and animals in our parks by removing the invasive plant swallowort. We will travel a short way up the cliff trail to a site where there are some invasives. You will learn proper removal and identification of the plant and other information about how it spreads and why it is such a nuissance.

This event is easy to do and fun for anyone over the age of 6

Meet at the Nature center by Noon

Materials needed: proper footwear and long pants to protect from poison ivy etc.

Materials suggested: small spade and gloves

Materials provided: some spades and gloves and bags for proper removal

You may call yourself a park defender after completion
