This is a meetup group for people who enjoy classic literature and historical fiction/nonfiction. I personally wish I read more of the classics and believe it might be better with a group for encouragement, accountability, and great discussions. The plan is to meet monthly(or more) and discuss great classic works. The group votes for the book to read for that month, plans times to meet during the month, then a final discussion(and small celebration) before voting for the next book. Please refer to lists like http://www.telegraph.co.uk/books/what-to-read/100-novels-... to get an idea of the types of books we'll read. When we initially meet, we will get a compilation of favorite works or works people want to read but haven't yet and we'll vote. We would like to stay away from young adult fiction(unless it's a classic like The Giver, Flowers for Algernon, Animal Farm, etc.) and books that are generally more modern and popular, as there are other book clubs for that. If there are ever exhibits or films that compliment the book we're reading, we'll plan times for those as well if there's interest. If you've already read a certain piece of classic literature but would still like to join a discussion about it, feel free to join the meetings! We'll always have the details posted each month.

-Meetings will generally be on the second Sunday of each month.

-Meetings will last an hour/hour and a half.

<br>More details will be added as we refine the group but mostly it's intended to be casual and fun! Just bring consideration and positivity!
