Olivier Latry, organist of Notre-Dame and one of the world’s most sought-after performers, had kindly accepted to meet with our group to discuss the status of the renovation of the cathedral and its historic organ.
We will accompany Mr. Latry on a videotaped tour of the instrument—filmed before the April 2019 fire that thankfully spared it but requires its total dismantlement and cleaning—and watch a few archived performances by Mr. Latry and others. Midway through our meeting, Mr. Latry will join us on Zoom to answer your questions. His colleague Michel Picaud, president of “Friends of Notre Dame de Paris” will briefly join us to provide an update on the Cathedral’s rebuilding.
Those who feel so moved will have an opportunity to contribute to the cost of renovating the cathedral.
Note the special meeting time, which will allow Mr. Latry to join us live from his home in Paris.
Lovers of Paris, of Notre-Dame Cathedral, and of organs will not want to miss this event.
