Come hear some Debussy and Strauss!
Join us for a one-hour concert by the London Symphony Orchestra starting at 6.30pm, followed by an exclusive post-concert networking reception with other music-lovers and young professionals. Conductor François-Xavier Roth presents two landmark works by late-Romantic masters, musing on fantasy and philosophy. Debussy’s dreamlike Prélude à l’après-midi d’un Faune will be followed by Strauss' Also sprach Zarathustra, famously used by Stanley Kubrick in 2001: A Space Odyssey. This Half Six Fix concert is an exciting new concert format launched by the LSO in 2017, which shakes up the traditional classical music format in the following ways: the conductor introduces the pieces, giving their own insights into the music programme notes are available to view on your Android or iPhone device screens highlight what's happening on stage in different sections of the Orchestra audiences are welcome to bring their drinks into the concert hall Whether you are new to classical music or an experienced concert-goer, we hope you will enjoy this new format.
