What we're about

Calling all wine lovers of Essex and bordering Counties!

Do you know what’s really in your wine? Chances are you don’t because wines are not required to have labels. This allows the wine industry to fill your bottles with up to 300 chemicals and pesticides in addition to several other additives and sugars that you don’t know about!

Are you familiar with Scout & Cellar’s clean wine yet? The two year old company started in Dallas, Tx and did $20 million in sales in its first year and has already done over $30 million in sales so far this year! Our wines are organically grown in a chemical and pesticide free environment in different boutique vineyards from around the world. Then, they are independently lab tested by the company to ensure that you are getting just grapes and low (the natural) sulfites. The problem with buying wines from the store is that you don’t know where or how it was grown or if you do know this information, then you likely don’t know where the wine went in between the vineyard and the store. Companies can claim that they offer clean wine but if it’s mass produced during the bottling phase, chances are it’s not actually clean by the time it gets to you.

In this group, we will learn more about these amazing wines (they taste so much better in addition to being a healthier option!) and get to try and order them over dinner and socializing. Feel free to bring friends. The more, the merrier! We will try different wines each time so come whenever you can!

▪️ What to bring
If you plan to eat, bring money for your order. Bring a credit card to order the wine. You don’t need to bring any wine. I’ve got that covered.

▪️What to expect
Take a seat wherever you would like and make your dinner selection so that once everyone has arrived, I can introduce the wines and the company and then we can order while we are tasting the different wines. Please be punctual or send a message if you are running late. There will be an order form for you to fill out with your order and the wines will be shipped directly to you. These wines can not be purchased in stores. They come directly from the company after they have been tested. This is to ensure that what you are getting is clean.

▪️What the Group expects from it's members

Take your RSVP's seriously! I do! It is very important for a meetup like this. When there is a wait list you are taking someone's spot, and restaurants rely on having an accurate customer count. So out of courtesy please have your RSVP up to date within 24 hours of the meetup. Cancelling with less than 24 hrs notice is counted as a No Show. Two of more No Shows and your membership will be cancelled. If an event has a wait list members with a previous no show will be bumped to the wait list in favor of members who have always honored their RSVP's in the past.
