Joshua Randall - Theory
Digital accessibility means that your website, mobile app, or electronic document can be navigated and understood by all users, including those with visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive disabilities. In this presentation, Joshua covers the basics: Who is affected? Where can you go for more information? How do we bake accessibility into the design process? He also gives an overview of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), which are the industry standard.
Kat Passen - Practice
Web accessibility is important - about 1 in 5 people in the United States have some kind of disability, and not including them limits your reach. Once you've heard about the basics of accessibility, how do you get started? In this presentation, Kat will walk you through the process of finding accessibility issues in your site, and discuss methods and processes to correct them.
